Ingredients
6 DewFresh Cumberland Sausage
1 onion, thinly-sliced
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
200ml white wine
250ml cream
Darta Broccoli
Brown pasta
Shredded Cheese
Schwartz Salt & Pepper
Schwartz Chili Flakes
Freshly chopped parsley (for serving)
Method
Creamy, comforting sausage & broccoli pasta made with juicy Dewfresh Cumberland sausages. It’s hearty, wholesome, and full of flavour! Weeknight dinner, sorted!
- Prepare the sausages by removing the casings and breaking them into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook the sausage in a pan over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened, then deglaze with a splash of white wine. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Return the sausage to the pan, pour in the cream and add the shredded cheese. Stir well to combine and season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes to taste. Let the sauce gently simmer on low heat.
- Meanwhile, boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
- Just before serving, add the steamed broccoli to the sauce and mix until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Plate a portion of the pasta, spoon the sausage and broccoli cream sauce over the top, and finish with a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese and freshly chopped parsley.
