With over forty years of experience in food production, DewFresh Products Limited has a long-standing reputation as a quality producer of meat products with its esteemed retail and catering clientele. In view of the recent growth in business activity, the company is seeking to engage a full-time Group Quality Assurance Executive.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, key duties and responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive Group Quality Management framework (policies, procedures, work instructions, checklists, protocols) covering all relevant operations (meat processing, import, storage deli counters, etc.)
Draft new policies, procedures, and documentation from the ground up to wherever gaps exist and ensure timely rollout and training.
Align and harmonize quality standards and controls across all group companies to ensure consistency in approach and compliance.
Plan, schedule and execute internal quality audits and inspections across all sites (scheduled and surprise).
Monitor daily production and operational activities for compliance with Policies and SOPs, hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.
Review, verify, and approve quality records, logs, batch documentation, deviation reports and corrective / preventive action plans.
Investigate non-conformances, root causes and customer complaints and lead corrective and preventive actions across sites.
Track, manage and ensure the closure of action plans and deviations within the agreed timelines; escalate critical or recurring issues as deem fit.
Collect, analyse and report on quality KPIs, trends, risk indicators and compliance metrics to the Senior Management.
Lead or coordinate external audits (third-party, certification bodies, regulatory inspections) for all Companies of the Group; prepare sites for audits and manage corrective actions.
Ensure all sites maintain required certifications (e.g. HACCP, GMP, local food safety, import/export regulations) and comply with regulatory obligations.
Assess process changes, new products introductions, or new regulatory requirements; develop or revise documentation accordingly, performing risk assessments and validations as needed.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional improvement projects from a quality point of view.
Implement and conduct training and awareness programs to ensure Team Members are up to date with the quality systems and requirements.
The ideal candidate must ideally possess:
Five years plus experience in a similar position.
Possess a recognized Degree in Environmental Health – a Masters Degree is considered an asset
A high sense of commitment and work ethic
Have a self-motivated, well-organized, good communication and inter-personal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time-management and business acumen.
Maintain a positive attitude of ‘can do’ whilst on duty.
